Review by Xpanding_Man

Xpanding_Man Only three reviews so far? Not cool :)

Yes, this was supposed to be a warm-up. No, it was FAR from meh. I think we were all just happy to finally be there are ready for music, there was a palpable sense of relief, and a feeling of "OK, let's do this"...but hey, let's pace ourselves too. We have a long way to go until Sunday.

I called Moma, as did seemingly many others. Wolfman's was poper, 'nuff said. But the real fun started up in Set 2. I was floored by the effects I was hearing during the opener, and Chalkdust seemed an appropriate follow-up. Light starting shining and I for one thought it was well placed. Yes, I was quite disappointed that Trey rejected the Sally tease during Caspian, but Crosseyed made up for it somewhat. Lonely Trip was absolutely PERFECTLY placed; we needed a breather and we got one. Everything's Right wouldn't have been my choice for a closer but hey I'm not Beethoven.

I started laughing my ass off during Saw It Again, knowing that couldn't be the closer. Possum was fun but standard, as was Slave. By that point, I'd been up for way too long (woke up at 4 AM that day to catch a flight to PHL), so I made a b-line back to our RV to rest up for the next day. I had no idea what was coming next....
