Phish.net is delivered to you thanks to a number of technologies.
The site design and source code is authored by Adam Scheinberg, with significant contributions from Pete Skewes-Cox, and Stephen Blackstone.
The Phish.net foundation is built on Linux, Apache, PHP, and MySQL. We make extensive use of the GPL GNU tools on Linux. We use memcached for in-memory caching and PHP Active Record as our PDO-based database API.
Git is our revision control system. Let's Encrypt and Certbot provide our SSL certificates.
On the client side, we rely heavily on jQuery. We make use of RequireJS, MomentJS, and Handlebars in some sections of the site. Bootstrap provides our basic layout, with SASS as a CSS pre-processor. Other packages in use include Bootstrap Sortable and ckeditor.

The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
