My good friend and Mockingbird Foundation board member Elayne sherpa’d me up here in her backpack, and I can’t think of a better place to shout the news about phish.net’s exciting new contest...

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to take a photo of me, The Phish Companion, in a setting and pose of your choice. Post it on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, with the hashtag #ReadTheBook, by Friday, August 19th. You'll want to make sure your post is set to "public" so that the whole world (including the judges from phish.net) can see me in all my glory!

I love to go to famous places. I love to be seen with important people. Dress me up, take me out, get me buck naked, feed me grapes — it’s all fair game! All you need is a smart phone, your imagination, and a copy of me, The Phish Companion.

On Friday, August 26th, I’ll announce three winners, whose pics will be published in this space along with some honorable mentions.

Those three winners will be awarded with their choice of these three phenomenal Phish posters:

Isadora Bullock’s “Out of Control” is a hand-crafted linoleum cut print in a signed and numbered edition of 150. Introduced at the recent PhanArt show in Chicago, this is the first print from Isadora's new press, and her first print for The Mockingbird Foundation.

Zeb Love’s spectacular new print, “Sunrise Over the Turquoise Mountains” celebrates the release of The Phish Companion. “Sunrise” is a screen print, in a signed and numbered edition of 175.

And just in time for the election season, artist and printmaker Brian Bojo’s “How About a Goldfish?” answers its own question with a resounding NOPE! This three-color screenprint is a signed and numbered edition of 150, and sold out upon its release in April.
