HarborSeal What a delightful post! Thank you SO MUCH for this Charlie!!! I'll be rereading this for months digging through versions of songs you've recommended, esp from the 3.0 era. LOTS here to dig into. Minor pedantic correction: Montreal 94 is 7/6 not 7/8.

I'm just going to throw in a few more instances of HOSE from some of the earlier years:

11/24/91 YEM (!!!)
8/26/93 SOAM
6/11/94 SOAM
6/22/94 Mike's -> Simple sandwich
7/8/94 Stash (A Live One version)
6/15/95 Slave (one of the few really unique Slaves, also v beautiful and kind of screaming; amazing)
6/24/95 Bowie AND Hood (one of the most perfect Hoods ever played imo)
11/10/95 YEM w/Crossroads

There is plenty more, and I might post again with versions from other years, but there are a few jams that absolutely sound like transcendent HOSE to me.
